Het Loo Royal Estate, which comprises the Royal Forest and
the Palace
Park, was originally royal property. The imposing seventeenth
century Het Loo Palace with its lovely restored Baroque garden is
surrounded by the Palace Park, which contains valuable elements of
cultural heritage. The Royal Forest consists of extensive forests
and heathland. The park, the forests and the heathland together
make up Het Loo Royal Estate, the largest contiguous estate in the
Netherlands, and one with a rich history, great biological
diversity and much beautiful landscape. This extensive area exudes
calm, beauty and harmony.
